To remember and to forget determine each other. Understanding the functionality of this complex relationship is the major goal of this work. Therefore it focuses on the process of forgetting and its visualization. It is to be analyzed in an experimental approach, whether and how the conscious loss of thoughts is possible. Many objects on the subject “forgetting” were created by examining the fictitious artist Zoē van Lag intensely.Hereby she passes through three steps of this process: forgetting by destroying, forgetting by alienating and forgetting by fading. The motivation of these three stages lies in the authentic, self-designed biography and they are an integral part of this work. Several objects were developed for every stage: a poster for each and finally a REAL RETROSPEKTIVE, that unites the work‘s complexity. After all, if we weren‘t able to forget, where stood the room to remember something new again?
